Directions and Maps

Directions from the NORTH:
Go South on the 405.
Take State Route 73/Corona del Mar Freeway South.
Exit at University Drive (exit 14B) and turn left.
UCI Special Events will direct you to the appropriate parking location.

Directions from the SOUTH:
Go North on the 405.
Exit at Culver Boulevard and turn left.
Turn right on Campus Drive (the 7th light).
UCI Special Events attendants will direct you to the appropriate parking location.

Parking

Parking is free and no permits are needed. However, as during the academic year, you may use any legal parking space except those reserved for disabled parking, service vehicles and vehicles with "X" permits. Traffic will be heavy so plan to arrive an hour before the ceremony, and be prepared to walk a fair distance. Drivers will be directed to available lots.

Shuttles

Continuous, complimentary shuttle bus service from parking areas to the Bren Events Center will be available. Guests are urged to use the shuttle bus service and the shuttle buses are wheelchair accessible.

All stops along this route will be marked with the yellow ASUCI SHUTTLE STOP signs.

The stops along the shuttle route are:
– Social Science Parking Structure – Administration Loop	– Student Center Parking Structure – Bren Events Center

For the return trip, passengers may board the shuttles at the Bren Events Center turnout. Please be aware that the length of time for the shuttles to return to this area may vary according to the amount of traffic along the route.

Accessible Parking and Mobility Assistance

Disabled/elderly parking for ceremonies held in the Bren Events Center will be located in the Mesa Parking Structure and parking lot 14A. Parking attendants will be able to provide directions to drivers needing accessible parking. Cart service will be available to and from parking lot 14A to the Bren Events Center. Cart service is limited to the disabled/elderly guest and one family member.

Drop-Off Area
For ceremonies held in the Bren Events Center, disabled/elderly passengers may be dropped off in the turnout area at the upper level of the Bren Events Center. Graduates and participants should anticipate heavy traffic and plan accordingly to get to their designated staging area. For safety concerns, please do not drop off passengers in the middle of the road or curbside as this will increase traffic congestion.

Seating in the Ceremonies
Arrangements for wheelchair-accessible seating, disabled/elderly seating and assistance for the hearing impaired are available by advance request. Please contact the Commencement Office prior to the day of the ceremonies at commencement@uci.edu or (949) 824-6378.
