Ticket Information

TICKETS ARE REQUIRED for admission to undergraduate ceremonies at the Bren Events Center.

• Graduates reserve family and guest tickets April 6-15.
• Get tickets from your graduate PRIOR to the graduate’s lineup time.
• Children under the age of 2 remaining on a parent’s lap do not need tickets.
• Tickets are not available at the door and are not held for pick-up.
• Forgotten/lost tickets cannot be replaced.

Arrival

Arrive one hour before the ceremony to allow for parking or traffic congestion. Please see Directions & Parking.

Seating at the Bren Events Center

Family and guests attending undergraduate ceremonies at the Bren Events Center require tickets for entry. Seats are shown on the tickets.

Special Services and Accommodations

If you need special services and accommodations for wheelchair access, mobility assistance or an ASL interpreter, tell your graduate to request this when reserving tickets. Ticket reservations begin April 6.

Permits are not required for disabled parking, and advance arrangements are not needed. Notify the on-duty parking attendant. Please do not contact Parking and Transportation Services.

The Ceremonies

Ceremonies last from 1½ - 2 hours. Remember to designate a place to meet your graduate after the ceremony!

• The ceremony begins with the Platform Party and graduate processional.
• After a short program, degrees are conferred.
• Each graduate goes on stage as his/her name is read and is shown on the screen behind the stage as he/she shakes hands with a Dean or other dignitary.
• Professional photographs are taken as the graduate is congratulated.
• The ceremony ends with a recessional.

The Bren Events Center does NOT allow:

• Balloons
• Coolers, bottles and alcoholic beverages
• Smoking and pets (except assistance dogs)
• Strollers in the arena area – check in at the Stewart Room
• Flash photography

Video recording is allowed.

Commencement Programs

Programs are sold at all ceremonies for $5. Each graduate receives a coupon for a complimentary program, redeemable at the UCI Bookstore June 10. The program lists graduates, degrees and honors.

Photographs

Professional photographs are taken as the graduate is congratulated on stage. Picture proofs are mailed within a week after the ceremony. Orders and questions: Chappell Studio, Inc., 800-424-3686.

Graduation Photography Preregistration Email Link is Available Today! Graduates can preregister their email, friends and family email addresses and Graduation Images will contact them just as soon as their photos are available for online viewing and ordering.
