- Do
we need tickets? »
- All
family and guests attending ceremonies held in the Bren Events
Center require tickets
for entry. Seats
are assigned and are based on the section and seat location
specified on each individual ticket. Only the graduating
UCI student can reserve tickets for their family/guests.
Be sure to obtain tickets from your graduate PRIOR
to their ceremony line-up time. Tickets are not
available at the door, nor will any be held for parents/guests
pick-up. Forgotten/Lost tickets cannot be replaced. For more
information, visit Tickets.
- Does
the graduate need a ticket? »
- A graduating UCI student participating in
their own Commencement Ceremony, who has met the graduation eligibility
requirements and is wearing the appropriate academic regalia, does not need
a ticket; however, they must bring their pre-printed name card to lineup.
- Does
a child or baby need a ticket? »
- If a child or baby will need to occupy a seat
of their own, they will need a ticket. Children who are young enough (under
the age of 3) to remain on a parent’s lap for the duration of the
ceremony do not need
a ticket.
- How
do I get tickets to a ceremony and do they cost anything? »
- Guest tickets are free and must be reserved
in advance by the graduating UCI student. UCI students can log in
to reserve tickets if they have met the graduation eligibility requirements
and have completed an Application to Graduate Form by the respective deadline. Ticket
reservations will be available online via the Tickets link
(in the left menu) from April 7 to 11.
Tickets will be assigned and available for pick-up from June 2 to 6 at
Senior Send-off Week.
- Are
additional tickets available? »

round, there will be a second round of ticket requests April 21-25, 2008.

and when do I pick up my cap and gown?

Ceremonies? »
- No. The 2008 ceremonies are for students
who have completed their course work in Summer ’07, Fall ’07, Winter ’08,
Spring ’08, or will complete their coursework in Summer ’08.
- What
is the difference between an announcement and an invitation? »
- An announcement is used to formally
communicate with friends and family that you will be completing your degree.
This is
usually the best way for people to remember that you have graduated. An
invitation invites people to come to commencement events and is
usually given to those who have made the greatest investment in your education.
If you are inviting people to attend the ceremony, be sure to let
them know tickets are required for ceremonies held in the Bren Events Center
and to provide them with tickets.
